Terms of Service

of Amero Music Group (AMG)

Section 3: Copyright & Licensing Terms

1. Introduction to Copyright & Licensing

Amero Music Group (AMG) respects intellectual property rights and ensures that all music released under AMG follows copyright laws. AMG has the right to license, distribute, and copyright music on behalf of artists who sign agreements with the collective. By engaging with AMG, artists grant AMG a non-exclusive license to distribute and promote their music while retaining full ownership of their masters and compositions. AMG ensures that all music distributed is properly processed through third-party platforms like streaming services, distributors, and copyright offices. Artists are responsible for ensuring that any content they submit does not infringe on third-party copyrights. If an artist provides unauthorized material, AMG reserves the right to deny distribution or remove the content.

2. Licensing of Music Through AMG

AMG does not claim ownership over artists' music but retains the right to license and copyright content for distribution purposes. AMG may register songs with Content ID services or copyright offices to protect music from theft and unauthorized use. By agreeing to AMG’s terms, artists give AMG permission to register and protect their music where necessary. AMG does not prevent artists from distributing their music elsewhere, except where exclusive licensing agreements apply. Artists may request proof of AMG’s licensing actions at any time, ensuring transparency. AMG has the right to use artist music for promotional purposes, such as advertisements, compilations, and media campaigns. Artists must provide accurate copyright details to ensure that AMG can legally distribute their content.

3. Responsibility for Beat Licensing & Third-Party Materials

Artists and producers working with AMG must ensure that all beats, samples, and instrumentals used in their music are properly licensed. AMG is not responsible for legal disputes arising from improperly licensed beats. If an artist or producer uses a beat labeled as “Free for Profit,” they must provide a screenshot or proof that the beat is legally usable. If a copyright claim arises due to an improperly licensed beat, the artist or producer is fully liable for any legal or financial consequences. AMG will not cover legal fees or penalties resulting from copyright violations. If a song is flagged for copyright infringement, AMG reserves the right to remove it from distribution until proper proof of licensing is provided.

4. AMG’s Liability for Copyright Claims

AMG does not assume responsibility for copyright disputes involving third-party claims, including but not limited to:

  • Unauthorized use of beats, samples, or instrumentals.

  • Lyrics or melodies that infringe on another artist’s work.

  • Unauthorized use of voice recordings, production work, or cover art.

If a copyright claim is filed against a song distributed through AMG, the artist or producer must resolve the dispute directly with the copyright holder. AMG may assist in the resolution process but is not financially or legally responsible for third-party claims. If an artist repeatedly violates copyright policies, AMG reserves the right to terminate their agreement and remove them from the collective.

5. Use of AMG’s Branding & Copyrighted Materials

Artists, executives, and affiliates may not use AMG’s brand name, logo, or intellectual property without written permission. AMG branding includes logos, slogans, promotional materials, and any official AMG-created content. Unauthorized use of AMG’s branding for fraudulent or misleading purposes will result in legal action. AMG retains full ownership of all branding and promotional assets associated with the collective. Artists may use AMG branding only for official releases, promotional content, and approved collaborations.

6. Royalties & Copyright Registration Payments

AMG ensures that all royalties are distributed only after AMG has received payments from third-party distributors or partners. Artists understand that royalty payments may be delayed due to processing times from streaming services, distributors, or brand deals. AMG does not guarantee immediate payments and is not responsible for unpaid royalties from third-party companies. Copyright registration fees, if applicable, must be covered by the artist unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. If an artist requests AMG to register their work with a copyright office, AMG may charge a processing fee to cover registration costs. Artists who fail to provide correct royalty payment details are responsible for any resulting delays or non-payments.

7. Final Agreement & Legal Compliance

By engaging with AMG, artists and executives confirm that they understand and agree to AMG’s copyright policies. AMG operates within copyright laws to ensure legal distribution and branding protection. Artists who refuse to comply with these terms will not be permitted to distribute their music through AMG. Any disputes related to copyright, licensing, or royalties must be resolved through AMG’s official dispute resolution process. AMG reserves the right to modify these terms at any time, with updates taking effect immediately upon notification or publication.
